The stand alone Ponderosa Beach Cottage offers you a lakeside, sandy beach location with an elegant touch without the feeling of being in a crowded resort or hotel. Perfect for romantic weddings, family gatherings, or a private get-a-way, we have your needs covered. This four bedroom cozy cottage comfortably sleeps 11.
Located on the wide section of Cottonwood beach on Osoyoos Lake, shallow waters make it ideal for little ones to swim. Little boutique shops and restaurants are only 5 minutes away by foot. Or why not rent a bike and cruise around the town? The US border is also easily reached in less than a 15 minute drive.
Planning a party? The beachfront Tiki Hut Bar, complete with fridge is the perfect place to entertain, including floor space for a band if you so choose! A WIFI enabled sound system, allows you to play your favorite playlist or watch wireless TV right on the beach. Plan a family night and watch a movie under the stars.
Ponderosa cottage has loads of amenities: Outfitted with classic kitchen and all the accoutrements, cooking is a absolute pleasure. For music, TV and internet, we have you covered with a wireless sound system and WIFI that extends all the way to the beach front.
Love water sports? Ponderosa Cottage has a moorage buoy for your boat, along with two standup paddle boards, and inner tube to two. Nearby, you can rent water toys, boats, floats and tubes locally if your heart desires. Or…head on into town and find the local stores offer plenty of fun for the whole family.
Don’t miss out on local wineries, orchards and hiking opportunities. A community centre offers air-conditioned fitness gym and even indoor space for a game of basketball, volleyball or pickle ball. Need books? A local library can accommodate your needs. Down the road, you will find an amusement park for the young ones complete with a go-cart track. We think you will also enjoy the nearby local Lake Village Bakery, bread that rivals the bread found in France and Italy. We have yet to find better bread anywhere in BC.
History: This little house was privately owned by a family who lived on Osoyoos Lake for generations. Now, an ever-growing family of eight has bought the cottage and lovingly repaired and restored the cottage to its vintage roots. The Ponderosa beach cottage was renamed after its street location on Ponderosa Drive. Our family would like to share the experience of staying in this lovely home with you!

Yes, there is a desert in Canada! With temperatures ranging from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius June 15th to Sept 10th. We rival Arizona in our desert temperatures. Welcome breezes cool you off in the afternoon and provide ultimate conditions for wind or kite-surfing.
